writes:I know this may be silly but I've become attracted to a woman at work. I only see her for minimal periods of time. She's quiet, but I have been noticing she has gone from not saying anything to being excited when she sees me. She says hi, smiles all excited and other times won't even say hello lol. She gives me this flirty smiles and does this smile with her eyes. Makes me go hm. I tried to converse with her as far as what she was doing this weekend, her answers were short. She came back in the room to hand me a paper and sat next to me and actually asked me a question for the first time! Mixed signals or me being crazy. I feel like she flirts but then sometimes not.

I myself am pretty shy and from personal experience it has always been hard to flirt with someone when i find them attractive. Assuming she is the shy type and that she does like you, she probably doesn't want to embarrass her self, especially if shes not sure of your orientation. Here are somethings you could try: (1)When you're ALONE try making her more comfortable by initiating conversation. (2)Make your self seem available, smile at her more often. Make more eye contact. (3)Reinforce flirting with small touches (watch for her reaction) (4)Offer to have lunch together one day, talk a bit and get her number. Look at her body language since you will not always get the verbal responses your are looking for.

 Maybe you are seeing something more that is just simply not there due to the fact that you find her attractive. I guess the only way to find out more, is to get to know her more and meet her outside of work and build a friendship and see where it leads.
