Question - (3 February 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 14 February 2011)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

This guy I love moved away about 7 months ago and he comes home for winter break, spring break, and a month of summer break. He lives 600 miles Away and I'm still in high school so I cant visit. Well, last week when he was drunk he told me he loved me and wanted to marry me. He's told me he loved me before(sober) but the marriage thing was new.I asked him about it the next day and he told me if he was back in town.. he really would and that he does love me. Well... That made me want to ask him again about being in a relationship. He said "no" that being that far away and only seeing each other for that little of time a year would not work.I had asked him previously before he left.. and we didn't start a relationship because he was afraid it would not work. But he forcefully and kind of rudely said IT WOULD NOT WORK and that he cares about me but he can't be there for me beacause he's so far away and he only wants me to be happy. So I stopped talking to him for 3 days in hopes of NOT ever speaking to him again until I was over him I then started to talk to him again it's been 4 days that we've been talking again and he's acting strange now. He use to text me and be happy and now it's like he isn't and he is short. What do I do?!

He did try talking to me the day right after he said we would not work out because we're so far away. But, I didn't text back.. he knows that if I don't text back something is up.. so he doesn't text twice.

this person is taking advantage of you. being far and older he's got something on the side and its smart enough to handle you and have you convinced. you sound young and innocent gosh, let me break it to you. break up with him and you won't be as hurt. don't blame yourself for his stupidity. live happy and someone else will get your attention in no time.
