I'm 20 years old and have never been pregnant or even had a scare so I have no idea. I've had extreme nausea on and off, lack of appetite and have been excessively tired all the time. Are those symptoms? I hate going to the doctors unless it's absolutely necessary but if it's possible I'm pregnant I'd take an at home test first. I live an extremly on the go busy lifestyle and can't remember the exact date of my last monthly.

I've had a pregnancy scare and it makes you crazy! I started to create symptoms and turns out I wasn't even with child :) so it can totally be all in your mind. I know the doctor is not your favorite person, but if you've had unprotected sex recently then a blood test is the only way for early detection. If you really can't bring yourself to go to the doctor then get a home pregnacy test, they're pretty accurate, in that they detect a hormone called HCG, which should be present about 8 to 11 days after conception. However, if it's been a couple of months since you had intercourse you could still be pregnant. (HCG levels in the body have to be high to yield a positive result and in the later stages of pregnancy the levels of HCG decrese) If it's been a couple of months the body could not be producing HCG in high enough levels which means a home pregnancy test could give you a false negative. So a blood test is the best method. Which ever test you choose at least you'll be more informed. Think about it isn't it better knowing then not, so put your mind at ease, if your finances aren't great even dollar store pregnancy test can give accurate results. Best of Luck!
