Ladies..if I saw you for first time and bumped into you and said "can I just say something, your eyes are so pretty" and walked off? How would you react and what would you think?

Sorry to be a voice of dissent here, but something similar happened to me very recently and it spooked me!

Mind you, that could be because I know what kind of guys live where I live :O(

I will not be shocked or surprised, that has happened to me often; ( I do have beaufitull eyes)they are a great asset; I will SMILE at you and say "thank you"; maybe leaving you a little shocked and surprised with my very relaxed and casual attitude;

I'd be flattered, and feel happy for the rest of the day.

If I saw you again I might avoid you just in case you really were a nutter, or wanted to go out with me or something. But if it just happened and I never saw you again it would be really nice.

Good Luck!! xx

Wow. I love it! I would be sooo flattered and that would definitely make my day and would be something I would never forget.

One time I was on 14th st (nyc) with my friend. We had just come out of a bar where I had been dancing all night. And this guy who had seen me at the bar did the exact same thing. But he came up to me and said "you are so beautiful," out of nowhere! And then he walked off.

The fact that he walked off made it so much more special cause it meant that he had no ulterior motive.

I am sure you made someone's day. Good for you!

i would probably be a little shocked at first by the randomness of it but i'd be very flattered. It would be the type of simple thing to make my day.

But then again I'm as blind as a bat. I've had operations and transplants and if you like my eyes you should be thanking the guy in the motorbycycle accident that gave them to me... LOL....

A female reader, scrazy Canada +, writes (29 June 2008):

scrazy agony auntI would be surprised and probably stare at you funny like "Okay...Thanks?"

Then I would blush and watch you walk away, while feeling a little giddy inside - yet at the same time, wondering why the hell did you leave, I was falling for the pick-up line!

But that's just me.

Yep that works for me, you got my interest and I'm dying to know more.... Shame about that spelling thing, I prefer men that can read.... I'd be interested to hear what you had to say next, you make me laugh, and I'd hang around to hear more....

LaydeeOfSorrows agony auntI would think it's a bit strange, but take it as a compliment and probably feel confident for the rest of the day! I def wouldnt think it was a line though, if you walked away.

I would look at you weird while you said it and then after you walked away and I realized that you weren't trying to pick me up I would smile and think about it all day.
