 I've asked this question before, and most girls say they would go along with it, so as to not to hurt their feelings. Personally, I think it depends on the way the woman feels about the guy. Though it may make things awkward, and if it was, the guy should break the ice and not let it be a problem.

No of course you wouldn't go along with it that would be unfair if you didn't have any feelings for him. You would have to tell him and if he was a proper friend he would understand he probably would be hurt but you should never lead him along.
