the most important thing to me would be that the guy was happy to have the excuse to show/tell me how much he loves me.
what i personally specifically would like would be:
- him all day holding my hand/kissing me/being particularly romantic
- a perfect card and a present such as jewellery - delivered post-sex, in the morning (to add to the all-day glow one should feel!)
- more sex at lunchtime
- an evening together - maybe even just staying in, watching a film, lying close to each other
- more sex, then falling asleep in each other's arms
and yes, actually, apart from the gift, every day should be like that!
i had about 3 months of my life where it was. now it isn't. i did adore every second of it, but i sure as hell miss it now. but there's nothing i can do about it.
so i say: if you have it, bloody well enjoy it, and throw your heart and soul into loving every moment together.

I will have to agree with aunty rach. I would just love something simple. Invite her to your house light a few candles, set her down to a nice meal, home cooked if you know how, or take out if you don't. You may want to get her something nice maybe a pair of earrings, a teddy bear, a ring depending on the level you are at in your relationship and how high or low maintainance she is. After dinner just cuddle up and watch a nice "chick flick" movie something with real sentiment, but not too sad you want her in the mood not crying. Some sort of love story with a happy ending is good for Valentines Day.

by spending the day with us. not going out with the guys! it's as simple as that. does not have to be anything fancy. maybe go out for the day or go to dinner, or have him cook something and just snuggle up on the sofa with a dvd. simple. everyday should be like valentines day. you don't need flowers, cards, etc to show a girl you love her, that's easy. being there is more important.
