A female reader, Jadzia1127 United States +, writes (12 July 2006):

Jadzia1127 agony aunt A man who has been married for years can tell you, it is not mind games women play it is just that they speak a whole other language.

For example: when a girl says 'What do you think of (article of clothing, body part, something personal about her)?' She is saying I think your cute-hot and I want you to think and say I am too.

Or for example: a woman will say 'Oh a (a type of food or drink) sounds good.' means I want you to get me this, to take me out and get me this is a plus.

It is a confusing language of reading between the lines and innuendos. It takes some women their whole lives to learn and others their whole lives to unlearn.

The best rule of thumb is to close your ears and pay close attention to the body language. Actions always speak louder then words.

Then the real question is do you want this type of attention?

If you work together, she may be sending mixed signals due to work environment/colleagues etc. and complications stemming from that. If you want to know what she's really thinking, ask her sometime when she's alone...on a lunchbreak or after work.
