A reader, anonymous, writes (26 January 2008):

It depends on the guy and how shy he is, but

If he looks at you and you see him out the corner of your eye, and when you look back at him he quickly looks away.

If he can't stop smiling when he sees you.

If he shows off in front of you around his friends.

If his friends start staring at you or talking to you, then

you know he has talked about you to them (in a good way).

If he teases you or accidentally bumps into you.

If he begins to walk with you and talk with you when ever the two of you are near and have the opportunity.

If he asks you questions about yourself.

If he calls you up and asks you for a date.
