Hi,
It's quite a while since you posted this, I am assuming you have got your driver's licence now. I hope so and I am interested to know.
The funny thing is that around that same period (january 2010)I was trying to get my driver's licence and it took me 3 times to get it, knowing that I have been driving overseas for about 18 years. I found it ridiculous how the driving test had nothing to do with real driving. If you watch people on the road, they do all sort of stuff that in a driving test would fail you.
What frustrated me most is that each time I failed I had to wait at least three weeks to get another availble test ...I hated that feeling of waiting all that time and not knowing what's gonna happen.
The first two tests I sort of did very well but made 1 failing mistake each time. Whereas the third time I made quite a lot of mistakes but no failing ones and I passed. Ridiculous!
Now it's behind me, once you get it you're part of the club of drivers, who drive everyday and apart from the major stuff that they'll get fined if they do they don't respect any rules!!
By the way since I got my licence I haven't used it yet!
I hope you got it at the third time and you're part of the club now.
Cheers. xx

I failed my test even though i used to drive for nearly 12 years in another country. Everyone from the in-laws family (even distant relatives, because in-laws told everyone that i failed) used to ask me questions about this. What I learnt from that was that most of all human beings are likely to raise a question on another person’s WEEKEST POINT. So don’t lose your confidence. Rather than other people making fun, YOU can make fun about it and then they will learn that this is not anymore disappointing thing for you. So they will stop doing it forever.

You are honestly not the first person in the universe to fail their driving test more than once! In the UK, the first time pass rate is only about 40%, indicating that more than half of all drivers need to take their test at least once or twice to pass. Trust me its not that big of a deal. I knew someone once who took her driving test like 4 times before she passed, and she only ended up getting 1 minor! Please try not to let this bring you down sweety. x

"Also my 1st test was really easy and i messed up by doind 40on a 30...im still kicking myself now!"Exuse me missy..on the above you have admitted that you found the test actually easy and stickin to the speed limit is one of my biggest probelms..i just get really into driving and forget totally about speed.my driving instrusctor has always said to me that "you learn to drive when you have passed your test".you only have lessons to fit to drive alone.failing your test in my opinion is a wonderfull thing as it boosts your confidence and makes you feel more determind! dont let nerves get the better of you..just think to yourself.."im going to do this today,my nerves are not going to stop me..their not going to ruin me thsi time." repeat it loads of times before taking the test.when the examiner is instructing think"take your time, you can do this.."easy does it.and as for your parents i know exactly where your coming from because mine are the same..and to be quite frank i dont let them get to me enymore because i think back in the day their tests wasnt as hard as ours these days and if they only knew the pressure we were under they would soon apoligize..so i think its really quite brave what were doing..driving isnt easy.have abit of faith darlin..and be confident.as for your nerves try some:rescue remedy (their drops to put on your tounge).you can get them from holland and barrat.orkalms (they help relax you).you can buy them from any chemist..theyr around 3 pounds.GOOD LUCK AND BE BRAVE.

You don't need your license yet. There are far worse things in life that call for the reaction I highlighted above but the driving test not so much. It just indicates that you lack maturity.
So for now you need to brush up on the regulations to make sure you know them through and through. Secondly, you need to practice as long as you can to ease your self-consciousness and fear that may be detrimental to how you feel at driving. In this case familiarity breeds confidence so get out there with someone that is a good driver, mature, that will accompany you as you try to ease yourself into becoming a mature, confident and respectful driver.

3rd time lucky girl!
don't leave it, get a cancellation asap and do it again.
The test is so much harder now than it was when I did it, and in bad conditions it's easy make a mistake.
As for your brothers, that's just the typical sort of behaviour i'd expect from silly boys.
Don't be hard on yourself, I think the dsa make it as hard as possible to extract the most amount of money they possibly can.
My best friend took 5 times to pass and my other friend 4, so don't think you're so bad, you're really not.
Good luck x

I think that you're just making stupid mistakes because of your nerves. It's not that big of a deal...and it takes longer for others. Honestly, around here, I wonder how some people got their driver's licenses, they basically cause accidents. Here we have to take a written exam and then there's the actual behind-the-wheel test, I failed the first written test and felt like a dumbass for sure. It's not the end of the world, I think you should just practice some more and next time just remember the mistakes you made before; don't make them again, and just pay attention to what you're doing BUT relax! Good luck.

It took me 5 times to pass because I kept bumping the kerb when reverse parking, and once I didn't have my windscreen wipers on high enough in the rain.
You just need to get on the website and book in. Try and get a cancellation so you can do it next week rather than next month. Otherwise you will worry about it none stop.
The test is absolutely stupid and proves NOTHING about your ability to drive. The time when I did pass I thought I'd driven TERRIBLY. Which proved to me that it's just luck and means nothing but a bit of paper.
Tell your brother he's a dick and move on. It's only a test.
Oh and next time you have a test, don't tell them you have it, tell them you're off to the dentist. That way if you don't pass you don't have to tell them.
Good Luck!! xx
