writes: hii heard that it is good to keep "trim" etc down below so recently shaved my pubic area a tiny bit, just mainly around my vagina and at the edges of panty linehowever it is now really sore and itchy and i was wondering if there are any others ways I can go about just "controlling" that area myslef (without visiting a salon) but avoiding the sore irritationthanks xxx

reader, anonymous, writes (15 December 2007): Waxing is quite good and tends to last longer. It takes some practise to get it right yourself and it hurts the first few times but once your used to it it is great. Salons do the best job but sounds like you would prefer not to visit one.
I dont reccommend the hair removal creams and foams.
Oh and the more you shave the less irritation you tend to get. x

i find using hair conditioner works instead of shaving cream/soap. leaves u nice and silky smooth and no shaving rash.

Whatever you do do not use the creme that removes hair. I did it once and I was running around screaming in pain. I will never use the cream again, at least not down there! Its like putting acid or drano! Never again! Shaving is the best way to do it, but shave in the direction the hair grows, and there are soothing cremes you can use afterwards for the irritation. I'm not too familiar with the female products, but others can clue you in. A little powder can help too.
