Hiya, I'm in need of a tad bit of advice. I'm fourteen, freshmen in high school, and I just cannot get over my ex.

We dated from March of 2006 to October of 2007, a little over a year and a half. I was the one who broke up with him in October last year, mainly because I thought we weren't going anywhere, and also because I had grown feelings for another guy who I have dated on and off since (actually, just ended it with him Friday).

It was a long time for someone my age, but really we weren't extremely close. I knew barely anything about him, and though we kissed a few times and did the normal middle school dating thing, it wasn't anything serious, mainly because we lived several towns away from each other, but still in the same district.

He's obviously gotten over me, but I cannot do the same. He has a new girlfriend, who I am friends with, but we haven't spoken since the actual breakup. I'm not sure whether I'm still in love with him or if I just want him as a friend.

I've tried getting over him several times before, and at one point I thought I had, but nope. I don't think I want to date him again. I've tried a lot of things though, from talking with friends, my own parents, other people who I trust, hiding/throwing away the things he had given me when we were dating, telling myself over and over again it's over; time to move on, but obviously nothing's seemed to work.

Please help me. Thank you!
