I came across this online today and it made me think about your problem.

Break-ups always hurts but are often necessary when things doesn't work out.
We all have times when we think about our exs and some regrets pop out in our minds. Things we should have done, or said. The only reason why it pop up is because we think about it.
It could be worse than regrets though. I sometimes think about my ex, when something goes wrong, wondering if I ever going to find someone like her again.
Life is not about finding the perfect person but learning to love an imperfect person perfectly.
