 This sexual tension has been brewing for a long time and now it's overflowing!! You need to put that on the back seat for a moment and think carefully about the relationship you're in now and if you're willing to sacrifice this for a fling or whatever with this guy. Maybe that's whay he's doing; having second thoughts about the whole thing because of his girlfriend.
I know you've like him for a long time but you have to think about whether this has a future or whether this is just something you've been dying to do for ages and can't get over it until you do. I just advise you to think carefully before you do anything; think of why you want this so much and if you're happy with your guy at the moment. This guy may or may not feel the same as you, it's had to tell but the fact he's confused tells me he's having doubts. Take it slow and think before you act.
