The only problem is where iv been spendig all this time with the other guy rehursing sences and stuff sometimes just us two, iv grown really close to him, and have started to fall for him. Wev now been told we need to add a kiss into it close to the end, however nothing more has been said on it atm. im really nerous about it tho:a) my first stage kiss, what if i mess it upb) iv started to fall for this guy and i just dont know how to kiss him, i dont know but i really worried ill do something wrong.iv kissed many guys before, and wouldnt normally get worked up however this feels alot bigger and alot more never-wracking.also when we rehurse often us two are sent of to go practise in a room by our selves, and i think it will be really akward if we have to then go and "practise the kiss"any ideas, or tips would really help. and also how to make it less akward when practicing etc. thanks x Reply to this Question Share |

You need some coaching and guidence from him/ her... so try discussing it with your director first and let him know that you feel a bit awkward about it... He/she knows you as an actor and would probably be able to guide you better.
More than though, how long have you been in acting and have had any previous training????
First and foremost is getting into character...
there are so many elements of a solitary moment that all culminate or come into play just then...
so really concentrate on your character and the story line and script... that should take your mind off of him or you or you and him....
once your in character and once your well underway in rehearsal it should really come as naturally as the flow of the scrip - thats if you're doing it right...
once you've worked on everything the kiss sort becomes a passing phase of rehearsal and you can then do it over and over and over (IN CHARACTER) and it would be as natural as your own relationships....
It is nerve-wracking.... like wearing nothing but your unddies for a play.... but you get over it...
