I really need some good unbiased advice.

I'm doing ten gcse's at the moment (just about to do my second year of them) and I'm currently suffering from depression which doesn't help. I've got a lot of deadlines to meet before I get back to school and I'm considering dropping one, resistant materials (dt, woodwork). I'm falling behind badly and I'm struggling with this subject a lot and it's causing me more stress than I can cope with. I don't want to just give up because I hate failing, but I don't want the stress to cause me to do badly in other subjects. Any advice on what I should do? Would really appreciate it. xxx

DIE-romantic. agony auntOh my, no wonder you are feeling down. That would get to me to. All this pressure isnt do you much good. I agree, consider dropping the subjects that wont really benefit you in later life. Decide on what you want to do when you leave school and only concentrate on the subjects that will benefit you getting that career.

Take care, message me if you need to talk.

Not familiar with this program. How much time is left in the

term? Could you switch to pass/fail? Will it be costly to

let it drop, and would you be a lot happier? I mean, do you need it for your major? Could you take it next term?

Don't torture yourself. If it will really drag you down

in all your other courses, perhaps you should let it go.

?

Good luck,

Manya

flower girl agony auntPersonally i felt it was getting too much for me when i was doing mine, so i dropped out of two lessons which i knew would really be of no major benefit to me in later life.

Doing that gave me the opportunity to put more effort into the subjects that would benefit me.

Take care.xx.
