writes: My Best Guy Friend and I are extremly close.I've secretly fallen in love with him over the past year.well one of his relatives told me a week ago that my best friend said he liked me but didnt think i knew,and wouldnt wanna go out with me anyway because he's afraid it would ruin our friendship..He even told me he cares about me the same way he would a girlfriend.But he doesnt want a girlfriend.He wants to be a player,and not be tied down.There's one little thing,we have this "best friends with benefits" thing,and i like experimenting with him,its just it wouldnt make me feel guilty afterwards if we were actually together.I do everything for this boy and love him so much.There is a part of me that is praying some day something will click with him and he'll realize..but its just,the age factor..he's 18,im almost 17,so we're too young to stay in love and be together forever.He wants to have fun,i just dont know what to do!someone please help me out.i'd appreciate it.xxoo

Depending on where you are in the States, you realize that he's technically committing statutory rape, right? I mean you ARE 16 right now and he's 18 and therefore considered an adult. So, if your parents disapproved of him, one quick call to the cops and he's done! That said, be careful!
As far as you two finally becoming a BF/GF pair... well, again, it would be smarter to wait until you're 18 too. As far as if he's ever going to come around to that decision on his own... he may never if you keep doing the friends with benefits thing. He treats you well and he's getting sex... why would he want to change that? Meanwhile, I might also add that if he's running around doing it with other girls, be mindful that he could be bringing something home for you... a biological gift, if you get my meaning... also another reason to be careful.
Sorry -- all these are things you should keep in mind.
