writes:Here's the deal. I've fallen completely for my girl best friend. She hasn't been with anyone in over a year, and isn't the type to walk around with a guy on her mind all the time. We hang out all the time, always talk etc. I'm just confused as what to do. I'd kill to be more than friends, but if it went badly I'd loose my best friend. I can't do the usual 'just ask her to hang out with you' thing, cause she wouldn't see the hidden meaning. It's just sometimes when i catch her looking at me i wonder if she feels the same. I've read some disaster stories from people in the same situation. I'm totally lost. I totally want her, but i really doubt I could get her. She's GORGEOUS, but she isn't to confident - even though i tell her she looks great all the time. Thanks guys, sorry for the rant.

reader, anonymous, writes (28 May 2010): Why do you doubt yourself? If she is what you say she is, she'd understand the way you feel even if she doesn't feel the same way. She would understand! And and I'm sure she wouldn't stop being friends with you. :) You have nothing to lose in the end......but - why do you doubt yourself? :/
