writes: Um where do i start? well.... my friends ex boyfriend and I have become really good friends and i really fancy him. The reason they both broke up in the first place was because she realised she didn't fancy him - there relationship only lasted 4 weeks. Me and him have been texting every day but my friend doesnt know because im scared to tell her about it, she's said before to all of her friends I dont know what I'd do if I found out any of you fancied him! I really don't no what to do because I feel as though im going behind her back when texting him but Im to much of a wimp to tell her. I feel on edge all the time as only my best friend knows about it I really want to tell everyone I like him but Im worried she will find out, what shall I do?

reader, anonymous, writes (25 May 2006): Hi there!! i think the best thing 2 do is to have a chat with your friend. explain that u have developed feelings 4 her ex now- not while theye were 2gether and that u wanted 2 let her know so that she didnt feel she was being lied to.im sure shel be angry or upset at first but she will admire your honesty and if she didnt like him neway then theres no problem!!! remember they broke up- she doesnt own him or u so u r free 2 do what u want. if she doesnt come round- which im sure she will- then ur better without her. im speaking from experience here! good luck!!
