Heys. I've had this little lump about the size of a sand grain under the skin just above my eyebrow for years. It doesn't hurt or bother me at all but I'm just wondering what it is. It's been in the same place for ages and you cant see it but you can feel it if you touch. What could it be?

It's probably just a sebaceous cyst. They are caused by swollen hair follicles or skin trauma. Talk to your doctor if you're concerned about it or it becomes infected.

If you've ever fallen and hit your head in that spot or got punched or struck in that area, it could cause that. I've got one so small you can't see it, but it was there ever since the one fight I was in. It's harmless, I think, as long as you don't keep hitting that area over and over again. There is one guy I know, however, with a huge bump on his forehead, but the doctor told him it was just fluid in there. I guess it depends if it's a scarring thing like when I press that part of my head, or more of a cyst or fluid bump. I think mine is scarring because it's a hardened area, and you have to press hard to feel any bump spot. If yours is a softer raised bump, I would look into it though, as it could be something more like a cyst or ball of fluid.

Kenj agony auntProbably just a cyst. Your doctor should be able to remove it if its bothering you. If it gets infected it will need to be removed and could leave scaring.
