It's been two years -- will I bleed?

A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

It's going to sound odd and I am going to try and phrase it in not too much gruesome detail, the only time I have ever had sex was with my ex boyfriend, I bled a little when we first did it, it's almost 2 years ago that we broke up and I haven't had a boyfriend since and I'm not one for one night stands so I haven't had sex since then, I know the next time I do it it'll hurt but I am wondering if I will bleed again? I know the original blood is from the hymen wall and I obviously didn't grow one back but this still concerns me, I just don't wanna freak out the next guy I am with, anyone have this happen to them?

No you won't bleed unless they do it very rough.

chigirl agony auntWhy would it hurt? If you're turned on then no, it wont hurt. And no, if you are turned on and he's doing it right, then you won't bleed either. You will only bleed if he is too rough and you're not wet enough.

Use lubricant if you're not turned on (wet) enough. It'll be just fine.

Honeypie agony auntYou shouldn't bleed the next time you have sex.

If you do, I would suggest a check up with your GYNO - which might be a good IDEA anyways BEFORE you get sexually active again, in case you want to be on birth control.

And honestly if a guy freaks out about a LITTLE body fluids he shouldn't have sex.

Calm down, it will be JUST fine.
