What I'm wondering is, if I was to go out with him could he get into trouble. I admit he's rather old for me, but I am 18. We've already went to a music show together and I really enjoyed it. What should I do?

No he couldnt get into trouble, as like previous answerers said, he is no longer your teacher and you are now at a legal age and classed as an adult.
I agree that age is just a number. Try it out, see how it goes.

Take care xxx

You are 18 years of age, and at the end of the day age gaps are only really an issue if you let it. No he could not get into trouble for dating you, becuause you are over the legal age of consent, and also he is no longer your teacher. If you like this guy why don't you arrange to go out again some time and then take it from there. All the best x
