A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

The other day, I experienced my first panic attack, it was absolutely horrible, I thought I was going to die as I couldn't breathe at all.

The thing that triggered it off was my boyfriend telling me he loved his ex to spite me in an argument. We've been together three years and we're each others first love, so I thought..

So I had this anxiety attack which ended in him holding me trying to calm me down. He then after started crying telling me it wasn't true he just wanted to hurt me because we argued and he feels so guilty for saying it after seeing me in that state.

Now I am terrified I'm going to have another panic attack and I don't believe him. Why would he say this?
