it sounds like you just have not had much experience with being fingered. it could be just that your vagina is not stretched due to being a virgin. so therefore it is tight and a little painful if fingered. have you never touched yourself? it helps you to know what you like,etc.
also the other reason could be that you are not wet enough. you need to make sure that you are really wet before any fingers,toys are used. if you find it hard to get wet then use some lube. it will make it alot nicer.

 there could be a few reasons for this.are you in the right mood for being fingered? because if not then your body may not be making enough lubricant for you, therefore making it painfull.  you might have thrush? or your not relaxing alot does your partner play with your clit before he fingers you if your not lubricated it can hurt. or if you get all nervous and your not relaxing sometimes you can be really tight, i think you should rule thrush out and get some lube and next time you get fingered it won't hurt. you might have to see a doctor if the pain continues but in the mean time theres always other ways you can get a little something back, like your partner could go down on you? x
