writes: Hey everyone, I'm 19 years old and when me and my boyfriend have sex, it really hurts me. I am sore when he enters me and when we're actually having intercourse. Afterwards i am really sore aswell.I have had a test for chlamydia and that came back negative, so i know i haven't got that.I'm on the pill and before this, i was on the injection (depo), i don't know if this had anything to do with it?I don't think i have an STD, as i have no symptoms. And i would only have an STD off a previous boyfriend, but that was more than a year ago and i have never noticed anything. It's really worrying me, and i can't enjoy sex as much as i'd like because it really stings me.We changed condoms recently because we thought it might be that (Durex extra safe) so we changed to the Gossamer sensitive one. But sex is still just as painful. We have never had sex without a condom so i don't know if it's actually the condoms i'm allergic to or anything.I'm not nervous when we have sex and i'm not tensing up or anything so i just don't understand it.Any advice will be greatly appreciatedThanks in advance

For me it was more about the " size" of my boyfriend and how well he prepared me for sex that was the problem. Condoms might not always be the problem. Try using lots of lubricant and make sure your really ready physically before you actually start having intercourse. Thats what helped me

If you are on birth control and in a monogomous relationship and sure your boyfriend is not sleeping with anyone else, you could forgo the condoms if you are sure you are using your birth control properly, you could also use foam as an added precaution, and if you need condoms for birth control only, they make animal skin ones, but these do not smell great and they will not protect you from HIV.

Well seing as you have had tests and they have come back alright it may be down to lubrication prehaps when you have sex your not wet enough therefor its drying you out and making you sore or maybe your boyfriend is penetrating too hard especialy if he is big.,if not so already try some lubrication before sex (ky jelly) it might help,if not see your g.p again to find the route to this problem.
