However, tonight I kinda jumped on the bed, straddled him all smiley, happy and childish and kissed him and said I love him; he grabbed me and said: "I love you, your my ' fa'(my general for everyone nickname), I really do love you." Now I'm sorta weird , part of me says he's trying to convince himself??? What do you think? - he's rational and logical and not super emotional (I'm the opposite!!) Reply to this Question Share |

I do feel sorry for men sometimes.
We women can be a tricky gender to understand :)
If they don't tell us they love us, we over analyse it and assume they don't love us, if they do tell us, in a deep and romantic way, we over analyse it and assume they don't love us but are trying to convince themselves that they do.
I think your boyfriends reaction was genuine and he does truly love you. He was telling you properly.
Stop worrying and enjoy this. You should be floating on a little cloud of happiness today because he said what most women long to hear someone say to them at sometime in their lives.
If he's a logical, rational guy and not super emotional, as you say he is, then believe me, he meant every word!
I hope this helps AB x

Don't make an issue of "how" he said it.
Save concern for if he never says it again, or doesn't show it!
