Wendyg agony auntWell I think its all a con so the Manufacturers of cards and the florists all make a huge a profit! Making us think that if we dont do something on that day then we dont care for one another! its always nice to recieve something nice from the one you love, but isnt it much nicer to be told your loved everyday rather than one day a year ?

I personally think its much nicer to have a spontaneous gesture from your loved one at no particular time of the year as most guys just feel pressured on valentines! I guess im lucky in that my guy is pretty romantic most of the time, otherwise I might have a different view!

But that all said I tend to think that most girls like to be spoilt on that day, and like to be centre of attention, but im guessing at a young age its more about popularity to the others than anything else.

If you really do like a girl and you want her to notice you then maybe valentines would be the day to show you like her and a box of chocs and a card would be the way to go... but at that time of year everything is so much more expensive!

Everygirl is different, but yes all girls like to made to feel special, no matter what day of the year it is!

my personal feeling is valentines is another trick made up by card companies and cuddly toy makers. but thats a males view.

its like fathers day, and mothers day. its not 100% life threatening if you miss it, you can show love to someone on any given day of the 365 on the calender. but this is the special day thats set asside to show someone you love them and that you want to spoil them.

to a girl your age (13-15) it means a lot as they have that romantic imagery in their brain. but being your age im sure your funds are limited, so be a traditionalist romantic.

buy some roses, be charming and spoil her rotten.

maxsteel86 agony auntSome girls really like valentine's day and its a big deal to them. From what I've come across, MOST girls take Valentine's day as a big thing so I'd recommend you do something that day

vina_101 agony auntIts not really that important to me but personally...just to be on the safe side you might wanna get your special lady friend a box of chocolates or something. Everyone is different, some think it's a big deal others think its just another day. But even for someone who thinks of it as just another day (like myself) they'd still appreciate a lil' something something. And she'd think you're really thoughtful and caring and sweet. Girls love that no matter what time of year it is. So if you're thinking of getting something for a girl this Valentine's day I'd say that was a good idea.

cd206 agony auntI think that at your age it's really important to them but every girl is different just as every guy is so it's possible that your girl sees it as a commercialised rubbishfest!
