She's the cutest baby ever but it's absolutely impossible to get anything productive done when I get back home. If I'm not tending to the baby's needs, playing with it, hearing it cry or still shell shocked from hearing her cry. This had me thinking: Is this what it's going to be like when I have kids? Will it be absolutely impossible to get anything done once you set foot back home? Reply to this Question Share |

Thank you. It's been my first taste of how life could change after kids. You don't believe it until you taste it.

I would tend to say yes. It is especially tough on the mother, but everyone else is affected, too.
But if it's not your baby, I'm not sure why you are spending so much time looking after its needs. You sound like you will be a very involved Dad!

As the years go by it's better...until they reach their teenage years and then your up worrying because they're late coming home!!!!

Luckily all children are different! But the bad news there is: maybe yours will be worse! Or not. Anyway, if it's your own child, you will probably not even notice, cause you will love him\her too much to care if you don't get anything done or you don't get enough sleep. Luckily (most) babies sleep most of the time, so you will get your things done.
Just have your baby when you're sure you want one! Then nothing can go wrong! They are little pleasures not burdens. Good luck!!!!
