writes: hi (: ill get straight to the point. im 16 and ive had my period since i was 12. i jus finished it for this month fully yesterday. i use tampons the whole time, but the last 2 days the tampon was pretty dry when i took them out and the ends were frayed a lot. like when you pull cotton balls apart. now i just woke up and went to the bathroom and i realized that there are very tiny brownish and white things coming out. i have no itching/burning/pain of any sort. it did not hurt to use the bathroom either. the smell isnt off either. do you think that this is just the frayed ends of the tampons getting expelled? or could it be an infection? if it doesnt stop by tomorrow i will seek medical help. just want some opinions because im thinking its just from the tampons since i use the same size (regular) all through my flow, and they got very dry at the end and sort of "ripped". opinions wanted! thankkk you!

firstly i would recommend that you change from regular to light when you are on your last two days as it seems that the tampon is too dry for you as there isnt enough to absorb, you might also be changing them too often..
You def dont have an infection as an infection would be yellow or green and the fact that there is also no smell is a good sign. Maybe try some pads for a few days and see if this helps it clear up, you might just need a break from tampons for awhile.
im pretty sure this is nothing to worry about. :)

Hiya, sounds like the absorbency of the tampons was higher that it needed to for your menstrual flow so the end of the tampons were still dry. When your flow lightens use a lower absorbency tampon. Sounds like you may be right about the tissuey bits and there may me some extra blood coming out. However if it continues see a doctor :)

Yes it sounds like the tampons make sure that you change your tampon every 4 hours as it can lead to an infection. If it doesnt improve go to your doctor. When your period is on its lightest days make sure you use light tampons and not heavy ones as this can also cause infection. But am sure you have nothing to worry about. Goodluck.
