Is this a good gift for a woman I care about but can't be with?

A male Egypt age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Very soon it will be the birthday of someone who is really special to my heart. The story is extremely complicated so I will cut it short and say that it is almost impossible we'd ever be together, and however we hang out sometimes and I have good reasons to believe that the feelings might be mutual, but none of us would ever cross the friendship line.

My question is...

Her birthday is coming in a few days, and I have a special idea for a gift. I need ladies' input on this idea how would it make you feel to receive the following gift from someone on your birthday:

She is going to be 31 year old. I want to get a really nice vase, with thirty beautiful white roses arranged neatly inside, and one stunning red rose in the middle.

On the birthday card I am writing her a short but nice poem about her birthday, whereas if you read the first letter of every line it would be her name.

How does it sound?

Thanks girls for answering. Me and her were hanging out a few days ago and she was very interested in a vase in a particular shop. So yeah she is interested in roses. I also hope the rose color would say something I would rather not saying with tongue. poetry she might or might not be, but if it is written especially for her birthday I guess she might be interested. Well, I hope at least.

I think that sounds really nice. If I were to receive something like that, it would seem to me that the person had taken a lot of care and effort, and put a lot of thought into the gift and card. I guess it depends on whether you think this particular lady will appreciate something like that, whether she likes flowers and poetry or not. But on the whole, I think it is a lovely and thoughtful idea. x

Get her a Teddy Bear or something. Women nowadays don't care about roses and poems, lol.
