We don't see each other much around school, but we text constantly and get on really well. I want it to be a date, but I’m not sure whether it is. What do you think?

I agree with aunt honesty. Don't worry about whether it's a date or not. It's what you make of it. The point is that you're taking her out, and that's the most important thing. Don't put pressure on yourself. Just go, enjoy yourself and spend time with the girl. Good luck.

Well I think you should stop worrying about a label and just enjoy the dinner. Get to know her more and see how things go, its to early to be worrying about if it is a date or not just take your time and get to know her and the more you get to know each other the easier it should be to see if she is interested in you or not. So just keep calm, stop stressing about labelling it and just enjoy yourself. If you build up to much pressure on yourself you will end up a nervous wreck so just go with the flow and enjoy the meal with her.
