writes: My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex two nights ago. We were both tested prior, so went into our relationship clear of any STD’s. We have been together for 31/2 months, however, I remember learning in school that you can be carrying a virus for 6month and be undetected or not even know because of no symptoms. This is why I am nervous. During intercourse, it felt like there was a small piece of pubic hair under my hood, in contact with my clitoris. I am due for a Brazilian bikini wax, so I figured it was that. It was uncomfortable, but nothing that made me want to stop engaging in intercourse. After we were done, the left side of my clitoris was extremely sensitive and kind of sore. When I pulled back the hood to see if there was any hair, I removed a lint like substance and figured that was what was causing the irritation. The next day, the left side of my clitoris, right where the bottom of the hood connects to the clitoris, got red, irritated, and was extremely sensitive all day. I kept looking at it, which I am sure did not help. By last night, it was enflamed. It is in an already moist area, but something red, inflamed and wet in that area does not look good. I got extremely scared I might be having the first signs of HSV-2. I do have the antibodies of HSV-1, but have had them since I was a child, and have never had a breakout with the exception of a few cold sores in my mouth, but have not had even any of those in YEARS. Today, it is much better, but still a little sensitive and red, a bit more enflamed on the left than the right. I am still scared, and cannot get in to see anyone. Does this sound like anything? Can I pass anything to my boyfriend? Should a refrain from having intercourse with him until it goes away? PLEASE HELP! Thank you in advance for reading this and offering your advice and knowledge.

Ok well the only thing you can do now is to get an advice from a health clinic, so you can get tested now for HIV and 6 months later, you cant really do anything else I am afraid.
