A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Do you guys believe in fate? I recently fell out with my male best friend, completely cut him off. With good reason. It almost been two weeks since this happened and I've done fine without him so far, until today. I got my a level results today, in the morning, I seen his dad. then this afternoon, whilst relaxing in the local park with a friend, the weather was hot so we went to the shop for a drink. When we returned we settled in a further away part. I heard the gate squeal and curiously turned to look, it was him. I looked away. After him an his friends passed, we stayed where we were for a few hours. We decided to go into the town centre, upon leaving the park. Again, there was him and his friends walking back towards they way they had came hours ago. If only if id of stayed where I was, I wouldn't of had to see him. Coincidence? or fate cruelly reminding me that he's no longer around and not even bothered?

You live in the same town. It's school holidays. Groups of friends will hang out together, particularly on results day. I'd have been more surprised if you hadn't seen him. Nothing to do with fate at all.
