Is there any chance for us in the future?

I am a girl of 17 and I have a brother in law who is 8 years elder to me, he really likes me and I too like him, is the age difference between us too big. By the time he finishes medicine and settles down as a doctor he would be around 30 and I around 22. Can you please advise if we can continue our relationship and have hopes of our marriage???
