On paper he seems like just the right kind of guy for me.. tall, successful, educated, looking for a relationship, etc.. but when we met, I seriously questioned his sexuality...maybe it was the lisp, or the slight whine to his voice, or maybe it was the haircut.. I don't know but I just got this gay vibe. Now I will admit, I am used to dating "alpha" type guys who are very masculine with their features, but I decided to try something outside of my "type" because in general, the guys I was dating weren't working out for me and were jerks to me. So here I have this nice, sweet, guy... wants to take me out and have fun; but when I look at him and listen to him talk, I keep wondering.. is he gay? He was married for one year (she cheated) and he has always been in long-term relationships (with women). We had a date last night, and he kissed me and it was great! I just can't seem to shake the "gay vibe" and I have to wonder.. is it him or is it me? I WANT to be in a relationship with someone that wants to be with me; but am I getting in my own way? How can I figure this out? Reply to this Question Share |

He is so afeminine, it's as though, he can't possibly be straight! But they seem very happy together, he is a wonderful father, and it's really none of my business...but my point is that some guys just give off that vibe. And I too, have been used to rough and tough guys, so that may have a lot to do with it in your case. Give this guy a fair shot, and see what happens! Getting passed the first kiss is a plus! He may become the man of your dreams!
...or you may come home some day and find him wearing your dress and pumps! NO, I WAS JUST KIDDING!
Good Luck!

Some guys just do have that gay vibe. I remember when I met my friend's husband the first time. I totally thought he was gay!!! but guess what - they have been married for 11 years and are having a child now and she is so happy and says the sex is great. So it just goes to show you never can tell. I know so gay guys who are so masculine you would never guess they are gay. In this day and age it's nothing you have to hide really... so why would be dating women if he's into guys? If the kiss had sparks then I say stick with it and see what happens. Once you get used to him the gay vibe may go away. I don't think of my friends husband that way anymore.
