reader, anonymous, writes (23 November 2006): Im in a similar situation at the moment, the problem is that its okay waiting around but when your at uni, have assignments to do its impossible to concentrate, shes the one i wanna spend my life with, she felt the same until a week ago she suddenly felt confused and not sure wat she wants. shes young its possible its a phase aint it? im hurting so much

 She could really just need a break or it could be her way of slowly easing out of the relationship.
I would give her time and leave her be if she loves you she will come back to you make sure you tell her how you really feel about her first as to not leave her thinking you have given up on her.

 I agree with xLeahx. I think that you should give her the space she asks for and hold on if you feel its worth the wait but make sure you know the boundaries of the space she is asking for. I mean if you all can see other people or if you all are going to be exclusive just not together. But to answer your question. Its hard to tell unless one knows the whole story.

 Hi there waba, When someone says 'WE NEED A BREAK' it can either mean 2 things 1.The relationship is getting to heavy and the person needs time to get thier head together to find out what they really want. and 2.Can sometimes mean they want out but putting it a nice way and to keep stringing things along.prehaps you may be seeing too much of each other and she needs a bit of space..im sure if she loves you things will be find its more then likely she needs a bit of space.
