She wrote and said she was visiting soon and wanted to get together to visit . we made arrangements to have dinner and did.Her , I and her daughter. I broke up with my girl friend a few months ago but are still friends and talk on the phone from time to tme.She happened to call me shortly after I had dinner with this friend and just in casual conversation told her about having dinner with this friend. The first thing out of her mouth was " this friend has a crush on you , you know. I asked her how she came to this conclusion seeing she had only meet this friend once and this friend has been married for 30 years and I don't keep in contact on a regular basics. She says women can just tell.I don't get it, why would someone say something like this? Is she insecure? Is she jealous?

It's completely normal to have dinner with a blast from the past, especially a long lost friend. Seems to be nothing but a friendly to me. If it was a flirty pass at you then she would have left her daughter at home. Your ex is just jealous but over nothing actually.
