writes:This question is about pubic hair shaving on men. I usually trim everything to a 1 on my electric trimmer and shave underneath the shaft and all of the scrotum; thus, leaving all the hair above and on the sides intact, albeit trimmed very short. This morning, however, I experimented with shaving the areas around the sides and at the base of the shaft (the hair that grows on the top side of the shaft but at the very base). It went horribly wrong, though. I kept shaving more off and before I knew it I had to take all of it off. Now it looks like I'm either a porn star or 12 years old. My girlfriend does not shave her pubic hair, she trims it. We're in a bit of a long distance relationship at the moment, only seeing each other every 1.5 - 2 weeks for a few days at a time. She's coming to visit in two days. We've discussed pubic hair and what each other prefers and she's specifically said she doesn't prefer a guy to be completely shaven. So I called her after my little mishap this morning and she said "ew" but that although she doesn't prefer it, it's not a big deal. Do you guys think it's weird a) for a guy to be completely shaven and b) for the guy to be hairless and the girl to have hair? I'm worried she's going to be really turned off by it. (We've been dating for a little over 3 months.)

I wonder if men used to shave their balls, maybe but never really have I heard a fuss about pubic hairs before, which I hasten to add are a natural accurence and do protect certain areas.Would hate to fight a man over the bathroom and body scrubs yukky yuk, Give me a real oily overalled hairy man anyday, who does'nt pinch my nailfiles or face cream.On the other side we have the working bottoms that you could park a bike in, this should be cured and the great Y front that I have looked apon in horror on washing lines (My Fathers) and they were frozen solid as I ran into them as a teenager.Back to pubic hair! have you thought about shaping it into a style, just to give it that r mind? never mind hair today gone tomorrow:)

 when i first met my husband he was completely shaven and I hated it to be honest... he did look 12 and it was a turn off.
I convinced him to grow it a bit although I prefer myself totally bare as does he. now it's like a lovely forest down there....
so it's not odd to have one bare and one with hair
as for you... it grows fast and one visit will be fine... relax....

They prefer that area to be hairy but tidy. That said, it would be a bit boring if your pubic area always looked the same, wouldn't it? I don't see any reasons your girlfriend wants to overreact to what you did. And even if she does, you will know what kind of a girl you are dealing with.my personal experience: One day I did the same that you did. If she is turned on by you, it is not because of your stellar pubic hair, it is because of the relationship that you two have together. It will grow back anyways. Also, it might be good that she still has her pubic hair. My boyfriend would shave his hair completely and sometimes the stubble would sort of brush burn me during sex. If I had pubic hair to protect my sensitive parts, I feel like that would not have happened. Neither of you are weird at all.
