The first time it hurt like hell but didnt bleed alot. a few days later it hurt some and bled alot. since then we have had sex maybe 3 more times. Everytime we do it hurts a little at first and after i bleed. Is that usual to bleed everytime in the beginning?? Im confused because I thought you were only supposed to bleed the first time when your hymen breaks.. Is it possible that we waited so long in between the hymen didnt fully break and is slowly breaking away?? Idk im confused please help I dont want there to be anything medically wrong with me.

reader, anonymous, writes (30 September 2009): It's normal... however, you said it still hurts at first when you first get started? You could be tearing a little bit. Are you sore after sex? My recommendation is lube and start out slow, ease into it until you loosen up a bit and get some lubrication going and more foreplay! =)
