writes: I've had a urinary tract infection for about a week. I went to the doctor on monday and got medicine for it. It is now saturday. Yesterday my boyfriend and i had sex, but we didn't use a condom because he forgot to bring one and i didn't have any.. so he told me he would pull out. Well we hadn't been together for almost two weeks and since we hadn't had sex in a while, he came kind of quick. He came a little bit inside of me but most of it was on my bed and just on the outside of me.. i have a first response pregnancy test and i'm not sure when to take it. My period is due in about 3 days. Do i have a high chance of being pregnant if i'm on medication and almost have my period? please help!

noname00 is verified as being by the original poster of the questionthank you for all of your answers. i definitely am never going to do the pull out thing again, i can't believe the way things have turned out. i don't know if it's too early to be having symptoms? i don't have nausea or anything so far.. and my boobs are tender like they always are before i get my period. i don't know if this means anything?
i'm not on birth control because i haven't really gone to planned parenthoood or anything. usually we use a condom but this one time he forgot to bring it, and i already used all of mine. we're getting more though, because i'm not going to go through this again.
i should be able to take the test in a few days and it's the longest wait of my life..
thank you all very much, i really appreciate everything.

Wait until your period comes, if it doesn't, wait a few more days and then take a pregnancy test. Remember that although it's uncommon, you can still be pregnant whilst having periods. I also suggest that you use another form of contraception such as the Pill, shot or implant, that way you won't have to worry (at least as much) about using a condom.

Yes there is a chance you could be pregnant. Medication for urine infections do not protect you from pregnancy. The withdraw method is not safe. The test would be best to do the 1st day your period would be due, its quite an accurate test. I am presuming you are not on the pill? or were you on the pill and using condoms because you knew antibiotics would affect the pills effectiveness? If your not pregnant, maybe it would be wise to re-look at your contraception. What ever happens, I wish you luck.
