Is it true or a hallucination?

So this guy i met a few months ago, on a ski trip , i want to make sure if he loves me or not. The way he talks to me is as if he loves me, but i still have doubts. He talks to me in so many different ways, but they all are so romantic. He texts me every night before i wen to bed, talks to me when i have problems, cares....and when i left my friends say i kind of broke his heart and he started being sad and depressed and almost got suspended. I know to you it is obvious that he loves me, but why do i ave this doubt that he doesn't? How can i know if his love is true or if it's just my hallucination??
