The feelings came back instantly. I am in love with my child's father but he does not want to commit to me.I have been out with my first love and yes we have been intimate. My child's father is a good man but can be emotionally abusive.Ex is backing away. think maybe due to my current situation. I also think he knows how I feel about him.Any advice?

 It might be possible to have feelings for two people at the same time, but having a partner and then being intimate with an ex partner is the wrong thing to do. If your child's father is emotionally abusive then leave him, but you cheating on him behind his back doesn't make you any better.
