writes: Is it possible to love someone unconditionally? My ex says that he loves me unconditionally no matter what I say or do. I broke up with him since he was emotionally abusive, but I still love him. He says he is willing to put up with me complaining about all the hurt he has caused me. I feel that I love him unconditionally too, because I have forgiven him for all he has done. But, I choose to stay away from him because I don't want to get hurt anymore. Is it possible to love someone unconditionally?

reader, anonymous, writes (9 December 2007): My ex broke up with me after 2 years about 3 months ago, and she put me through a lot, she never cheated mind but the way she treated me was just awful. But i loved her the moment i met her 3 years ago, and i have loved her every day since then, even now we are apart i couldn't love another person more than i do her.Sounds silly, but unfortunately i know in my heart that it's true.

yes i def. think that its possible. I dont think that that means u should be with him tho. I have an ex that i was soo in love with and he ended up leaving me for his babys momma and ex wife. We still talk from time to time and although i know we can never be together cs of what he did to me. even though him and his exwife broke up. i still love him with all my heart as a friend
