Is it okay to be there for your ex when he is down?

Me and my boyfriend of 3 years have broken up for a week now and it's been goin well, i have jus been goin up n down with emotionss..

we didn't talk until las nite he said dat he is sorry for doin this to me but he was jus havin a break down and said he hates his life (coz he got kicked out of home and had to leave school to support himself n we broke up) that he cudn't handle everything all at once n asked me wat he needed to do n dat he was cryin n cudn't sleep

i didn't see the convo i was probly sleepin n i said to him in the mornin dat i'll be there for him wen he needs me n dat i'msorry i wasn't dere to answer coz i was sleepin

dat things will get betta and i know his stronger then this n to hav a good day.

is it ok to talk to ur ex wen his down? or should i be ignorin him then aswell? i feel weird coz we still noe wat we hav for each other n dat our relationship is over.

MissKin agony auntYes it is okay. If it feels okay to you then yes, it's perfectly fine. I think it's very mature and very sweet of you to still care about him and want to be there for him even though you've had a rough time together just recently.

I think he needs you to be there for him too, but don't forget about yourself and if things become too much for u, don't be afraid to pull away from it all okay?
