It depends what type of pill you are taking hun, if its a POP (progesterone only pill) then its normal for your periods to be different. I myself have recently started taking this kind of pill and I havent had a period for 6 weeks and I know i'm definately not pregnant! Some women dont have periods at all while taking this kind of pill. If you are taking a combined pill then you should have a period roughly every 4 weeks, during the week where you have a break. But your body needs time to adjust to it first so dont worry! Hope this is helpfull!! X

reader, anonymous, writes (10 October 2007): It does take time for your periods to settle once you have started to take the pill. You are supposed to wait 7 days before beginning your next packet and even then it can take 3-4 days after taking your last pill before you begin your period. However if you have had unprotected sex within the first 2 weeks of taking the pill (especially as it is your first packet), or you have missed/taken your pill late, then you should probably take a pregnancy test to be on the safe side.
