writes: hey all cupids, i have a very weird question, but here just a lil bak ground info first. i am 15 yr old and my lil sister is 9(laura). we share a room and we r very close. she has a best friend(danny)also 9. they are togther all the time which is normal but the other day i found out that they have baths together, and my sister told me tht she has fun with her in the bath. my mum thinks this is totally normal for her to do this but im not sure is it just me bein paranoid? or do you think thre could be an underlieing reason for her likening in this past time? if anyone could give there opinions i would be gratefull, i love my lil sister and want to know if this is normal, i never had baths with my friends at her age and never have since i was like a real baby did u? plz help xxx

reader, anonymous, writes (30 October 2006): It's probably just curiosity which is normal, especially for girls that age. However, I do agree with the other response that it is inappropriate. Whoever is minding these children needs to not permit these baths. Their parents should simply explain that at a certain age little girls become young ladies and that young ladies should bathe alone and have a little privacy.

i used to have baths with my sister when i was young. i think at 9 its not a problem. but much older than 9 and i would feel uncomfortable about it. its not like they are going through puberty yet. so i think its acceptable...but only just.

reader, anonymous, writes (29 October 2006): It isn't appropriate. Kids know more about sex (even elementary aged kids) than adults knew thirty years ago, and even if they did not, just normal curiosity could lead to problems.
