reader, anonymous, writes (6 April 2008): my ex-ex abandoned me to live abroad, and i was paranoid about my then-bf doing it, i was convinced that he wasnt going to stick around, but all the while i was pushing him away.
i got involved with another guy afterwards who two-timed me, so i then became convinced that a perfectly nice guy with girl friends, was two-timing me too!
it's happened to friends after theyve been with somebody whose cheated them, and its natural to feel like that, it's like when a dog is beaten- even if it gets a new owner, it still cowers whenever they raise their hand, if thats how you were treated before then thats what you come to expect of people, but the other answerer is right- not everybody cheats!
