Is it because he left me years ago, the reason why I have such a fear of confrontation?

i have wrote several times. the issues i have wrote about do bother me alot. i know that out of avoiding confrontation i wont say anything to him. my question is because he left me years ago so close to our wedding is that why i have such a fear of the confrontation? i am so drawn to him. i love him so much. i dont want to him to leave again even though in my heart i know hell never ask me to marry him.
