The reason I do it is because I dont have nobody else to talk to all my friends that were always ears have babies now and they barely have time to talk so the only person I know is myself. Really, this helps me when I'm in a situation cuz it helps me to talk it out and tell myself what's wrong then when I do that I can look back on the situation and be able to fix it. Then sometimes in order for me to get over an issue I have to talk it out, I feel that works more than crying about it so is that a bad thing? Reply to this Question Share |

No it aint bad to talk to yourself, I'm a amatuer writer, and when i'm stuck i act like i'm my main character and talk out what i want to do, plus when i'm alone and bored i'll tlk to myself all the time

I find mine to be incredibly helpful a lot of the time, it gives me a never-ending flow of ideas and suggestions which often prove really inspired. The only problem is knowing how to shut the thing down or switch it off, which often requires wine or something else. Mine just never shuts up. It annoys me sometimes. It's a blessing and a curse.

God no, I talk to myself all the time and very loudly if I am annoyed with my own behaviour. I only do it when I am on my own though! Don't want the men in white coats coming!

I talk to myself a lot when I'm at home. I find myself very interesting and witty (Which is probably a good thing as I'm sure nobody else does!) LOL

I sing to myself quite often.
If you realize that you're talking to yourself, and you aren't having hallucinations, then I don't think it's bad.

But if you don't have anyone to talk to you can also write out your feelings or what happened, it helps me a lot. But don't worry you're not weird lol.

No, it's not bad at all. I talk to myself all the time....wait, maybe I should say ALL the time - that sounds weird, lol.But especially if I'm nervous, I'll be more chatty than normal. Like if I'm driving in bad weather, I'll talk and it usually calms me down.
