writes:So I came here because I heard this was a good website to get honest opinions on relationship issues. So here's my story. My boyfriend and I were together for over a year when I got pregnant. I lost the baby and not long afterwards we broke up because we just couldn't handle talking to each other without getting extremely emotional over our loss. I blamed him, he blamed me, you get the picture hopefully. Anyway, it's been about ten months since we broke up and over a year since we lost the baby. I have been with other men since, but I'm starting to feel empty inside. I miss him and I think he misses me (we've talked on the phone a few times over the past few months). I currently live in another state because I found a job and moved here for it. I'm going on vacation in a few weeks and I'll be in his area and I was thinking of contacting him to see if he'd like to meet up. His birthday is a week before my trip so I was thinking I should call him to wish him a happy birthday then mention to him that I'll be in town and ask if he wants to meet up. Do you guys and gals think it's a good or bad idea? I'm not looking to start up a relationship again, but I would like to see how he's doing. I'll always have love for him and I really do miss being around him so I think it would be good for me to see him. What do you think?

puzzledpiece is verified as being by the original poster of the questionI'm going to call him when I'm there, I don't want to do it beforehand. I know he's not seeing anyone (at least not seriously). I'm just afraid he'll think it's more than just a polite visit to see how he's doing?

 If he is not already in a realtionship with someone you mind as well give it a shot. My guess is, you are curious to see if there is still something there and he may be wondering that too. What have you got to lose?....go for it.
