A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hi,

For the past couple of months i have been working at Wendy's and recently this guy has been working there. I think that he is interested in me, we flirt every single chance we get. The second day we worked together he gave me his number and we have been talking everday the sad thing is that he had to get rid of his phone, but he was sweet and let me know that he was going to text me the next day but something came up, with his plan or something, and he has to get a new phone and get rid of his old one. Sorry to get off of the subject but this past weekend my friend, a girl, and I went to go see the new moon movie and during the whole movie we were talking, I did watch the movie some, and it turns out that he wanted to go and see the movie. In the beginning I texted him and said "why didn't you go with me" this was just in a teasing manner but later we made a "date" for not this week but the next week to go and see the movie by ourselves and I just want to know if I should treat this as a date or just two friends hanging out. Please help me!!!

P.S.

I'm 18 and the last time i was interested in a boy like this was in highschool and I really didn't know it all back then, and obviously I don't know it all now or I wouldn't be writing this.

Ok sweetie a couple things to address here.

1. If you are a single and he is a single, you openly flirt, and you make plans to go out just the two of you outside of work. Then it is safe to assume this is a date.

2. In reference to "I'm 18 and the last time i was interested in a boy like this was in highschool and I really didn't know it all back then"

Judging by your writing you didn't graduate early so for you high school was multiple months to one year ago. Don't act like it was decades. There is no shame in being fresh out of high school.

3. Further proof that this guy likes you and wants a date is his claiming to have wanted to see New Moon. He obviously really likes you... or he's gay as a picnic basket. ( :
